My stay at crystal cove recovery in laguna beach was a great place  to rehab off alcohol for the last 2 weeks. Ryan and Kat were great leaders of the pack, and Alexander and Dan took care of us as   well. I came to Crystal Cove Recovery homeless and off the streets, struggling for years with my addiction. I haven't felt safe in a really long time, and CCR made me feel so comfortable and loved, and they never met me with judgement. I've learned so much about my addiction since I've been here and I know I've just barely scratched the surface. The staff here is like a family and I'm so thankful to CCR for giving me a chance at life. From the moment I arrived at Crystal Cove Recovery, I immediately felt comfortable and at home. I had seen the Program Manager Kat speak on a panel before at a previous treatment center I was at and loved her story, so walking in and seeing her here gave me instant trust that I was in the right place. What stood out to me the most was that the entire staff truly walks the walk. They live the recovery life they talk about in groups, and that made all the difference for me. I came in with a lot of trauma and a laundry list of legal consequences hanging over my head, and Kat was amazing at helping me chip away at those one by one. She gave me hope when I felt overwhelmed (and trust me, I feel overwhelmed and scattered all the time lol). My therapist, Teresa, was also incredible. I loved our sessions, but what meant the most was how much time she spent with me outside of session just listening, talking, and letting me bounce all my crazy thoughts off her. Ryan, Brandy, Mike, Lisa, Alvin, Freddy and Alexander were all so helpful in my journey and they could always make me laugh and smile. The nurses are all outstanding, especially Marissa and Carrie, and I feel like I got really great medical care. The Medical Director, Dr. Joe, is also in recovery, and he would come on site to do all the visits and follow-ups so I feel like I got a lot of extra attention and care. Crystal Cove Recovery has been a life-changing experience. The facility is really beautiful and it’s literally two blocks up from the beach so we would get to go there a lot and do group. The food is catered and there are tons of snacks, we got to do yoga and outings every week, we'd walk to get gelato a lot, and the entire staff is all in recovery. I can’t even put into words how much love, care, and support I felt here. They've helped me figure out my next steps as well, and I'll be going to a women's trauma focused PHP program. I'm excited for that next step but I'm also anxious and sad to be leaving. I am so grateful for everything this place gave me, and I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling and trying to turn their life around.

I came back to Crystal Cove Recovery for the second time in two months, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t choose to go anywhere else. I am extremely picky when it comes to treatment (well, everything really, after all I’m an alcoholic), and I had other options on the table, but CCR was the only place I knew I wanted to return to. The staff here truly make the all the difference. There is so much love, support, and genuine care that you feel it from the moment you walk in. Ryan, Teresa, Alexander, and Kat all went above and beyond to make me feel safe, respected, and encouraged through every step of the process. Brandy deserves a lot of recognition as well for running such a tight ship and making sure everything is organized and client focused. What stood out most for me was that even after struggling to stay sober the first time, I was welcomed back with open arms and no judgment whatsoever. That kind of compassion is rare, and it gave me the confidence to return with a new attitude and a stronger commitment to my recovery. I came to Crystal Cove Recovery not because I wanted to get sober, but because my wife insisted that I get sober and I couldn't stop shaking without a drink. I really didn't think I wanted to stop, and I really didn't see my drinking as all that much of a problem. I've learned so much over the past 30 days at Crystal Cove, but the craziest part of all is that I actually want to stay sober now, and that's 100% because of all the people here. I've learned so much about alcoholism and what that actually means, and the love and laughter here has taught me that sobriety can actually be really fun and happy. Ryan and Kat are really good at encouraging people and helped me see that I was an alcoholic by sharing their own experiences with me instead of just talking at me. Mike made life in treatment so much fun and I could laugh with him all day. All the people here at CCR have made this whole process so easy and comfortable. I only wanted to stay 7 days, but I'm actually on day 32 today and I'm moving on to PHP so I can continue getting the help I need. I'm really thankful for this place and for how I feel like my life has been changed. I feel like I can accept my alcoholism and take the steps I need to stay sober, happy, and present for my wife and family. My time in treatment at CCR was an absolutely amazing and life changing experience. I’ve learned so much about myself and my disease and got so much out of groups. They are all so loving and welcoming and they do a great job of meeting you where you’re at. The groups were well rounded and covered such a huge range of topics about addiction and mental health and they are really engaging. Everyone was so encouraging and supported me completely when I was struggling. I almost left a couple of times to go drink, but thank God for Ryan, Lisa, Mike and Kat who all rallied around me and helped me stay and work through the pain and discomfort. The house is absolutely beautiful with an ocean view, and it’s a really serene environment. If you’re serious about your recovery, I highly recommend CCR to start your journey. Crystal Cove Recovery saved my life! I came here broken and lost, and CCR helped me reconnect with myself and start healing from the inside out. I’ve never felt love in my life the way I have from the people here. The staff is like one big family and everyone is so knowledgeable and encouraging. The environment here has the best energy, the house is huge and beautiful, and I can honestly say that this has been one of the most transformative experiences of my entire life. I really didn’t know much about my disease, let alone how to be a better person and live a better life, but I feel so confident going home with the amazing foundation I have built here. My therapist Lisa cracked open my heart, Brandy, Mike, Alvin and Alexander always made me laugh and smile, and Ryan and Kat are the recovery dynamic duo who will always lift you up and be your biggest cheerleaders. Marissa, Carie and Crystal are such great nurses, and even the doctor here is personally experienced in substance abuse. I will be forever grateful for this place and the people here, and the new found sense of purpose and hope I have for my future. I genuinely can’t say enough about this place and how happy I am to have had these people guiding me along my journey. If you are serious about getting your life back, I promise you there is no more perfect place to do so than Crystal Cove Recovery.
